Game Summary
Impasto is a first-person, exploration & story-focused adventure game with light horror elements set within the imagination of one of history’s most tortured artists - the Spanish painter Francisco Goya. Uncover various areas full of dark secrets, survive hostile encounters, fill your inventory, solve a variety of puzzles scattered throughout the environment, and meet the long-forgotten inhabitants of a world that’s lost all reason.
Responsibilities

Led a four-person design team by structuring tasks, workflows, and milestone tracking to ensure timely deliverables across sprints.

Consistently addressed and reported the director's game vision to each discipline when conceptualizing and iterating on gameplay development during discussions/meetings/implementations.

Created rapid 2D layout iterations and full blockmesh for the Village level, guiding its environmental and gameplay direction.

Designed core gameplay systems, enemy AI logic, quest flow, and tutorial scripting from concept through implementation.

Collaborated with producers to resolve development bottlenecks and improve team focus, while maintaining detailed design and narrative documentation to support cross-discipline execution

Implemented the first playable quest and its accompanying storyboard to drive alignment on gameplay tone and production priorities
